Legio IX
The famous disappearance of Legio IX in the hills of Scotland is well theorised by many leading history intellectuals. In fact we don’t know what happened to men of the Ninth. Who would have thought they would turn up almost two thousand years later in Sydney Australia.
Welcome to Legio IX. We are a Ancient Roman reenactment group based on Imperial Rome. Our time period is from 27BC the year of the First Principate to 108AD. We love ancient history and enjoy discussing all things Roman with the public. Come to our encampment to see some Legionaries, Gladiators and maybe play a game of dice with us as our favourite past time.
