Travelling to Lithgow from Sydney by car,
You will need, at some time, to get onto the M4 Motorway
which then becomes the Great Western Highway.
Follow it past Katoomba; Lithgow is about thirty kilometers
further west, (1/2 an hour further by car).
Once you have reached Lithgow, you will need to take a
right hand turn off the highway (take the turn where the sign indicates
'Lithgow and Windsor'. A Macdonald's restaurant is located on the opposite corner.
Proceed for about another kilometer before turning into
the first street on your left, to pass under an old railway bridge.
You will be now entering: 'The Kingdom of Ironfest'.
(Click here for Festival Site Map)
After passing under the old railway bridge, prepare to turn immediately to your right, the entrance to off-street parking is about 70M on your left. Keep a look out for members of the Lithgow SES who will direct you to a suitable location in which to park your vehicle. Please remember to not leave any valuables in your vehicle.
Although festival security and the Lithgow SES will be patrolling the car park areas for the duration of the festival, the festival organizers will take no responsibility for loss or damage to property or to your vehicle.
Check out the Ironfest Festival Shop located just inside the gate.
All program changes will be posted outside the shop.
Take your time in orientating yourself with the map (inside the program), and have a great festival!
